Parking

Data Display supplies a wide range of electronic car park signs and related systems, including complete parking guidance systems, car park management systems, car park full displays and car park spaces displays. As a manufacturer, we can offer you an unrivalled flexibility in the type and design of each parking display or electronic car park sign to ensure that it is tailor made to your specific application. This helps to ensure that motorists are provided with clear, visual communication to direct them to available spaces.

Car Park Level Displays

By locating our dynamic and advisory level displays at strategic locations such as main entrances, entrance approaches or zone/level transitions, parking displays are invaluable in providing drivers with information on where available spaces are located within multi-storey car parks.

Pedestrian Information Displays

These are usually located near Pay & Display machines and provide pedestrians with information when leaving or returning to their vehicles.

Urban DataMaster: Car Park Management System

This is a complete turnkey car park management system and parking guidance system developed by Data Display incorporating many different parking displays, which can be customised to meet the needs of the customer and offers real time information to motorists. The system is highly flexible and can be adapted to become a city-wide public information and parking system.

For example, Data Display has supplied a complete, integrated parking guidance system for the town centre of Dundrum (Ireland) which is providing real benefits to both the council and motorists alike. The whole system has been developed to incorporate a diverse range of electronic information displays. It consists of 36 off car park level indicator displays showing the number of spaces available on car park levels, 18 pay station information signs, 11 parking guidance displays, 2 ‘Prepare To Stop’ warning signs and 2 main entrance displays in bi-colour LEDs. In addition to this, two large LCD perimeter displays were also provided. All displays are controlled by Data Displays car park management system VMS software.

Data Display Car Park Controller Unit

A programmable, non-PC, car park controller unit can be fully customised to monitor car park usage and provide either car park full displays (‘Full’) or car park spaces displays (‘Spaces’ or the actual number of ‘Spaces Remaining’) for the relevant car parks. The unit uses input/output signals from existing control barriers or loops.

ANPR LED Signs

Data Display Car Park VMS have the ability to interface to most car park equipment and software, including Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems (ANPR)

The combined usage of Data Display LED signage with ANPR systems can be used for a variety of functions:

  • Promote ANPR Security awareness
  • Enhances Membership Services at Golf Clubs etc
  • Prevents long term parking at Supermarkets and Motorway Services
  • Controls Staff & Visitor parking
  • Welcomes Guests at hotel car parks
  • Visual Control of traffic on Private Estates
  • Effective Instructions for Reserved Parking arrivals
  • Reduces Petrol Station “Drive offs”

Highway Multi-line VMS

Highway variable message signs are ideally placed on the main arterial routes into the city to provide driver information on car park utilisation or to advise on park and ride schemes. These highway displays significantly reduce circulatory traffic congestion and driver frustration and are completely flexible in terms of what text should be displayed.

Highways Directional Displays

These are positioned at major junctions in the city centre and consist of both fixed and variable text and help to keep traffic flowing and ease congestion. Our systems are not only configured to direct motorists to the various car parks available but also to inform of space availability, allowing them to make a more informed decision about their chosen route. Six character VMS modules are often mounted behind fixed sign plate signs to provide either car park full displays (‘Full’) or car park spaces displays (‘Spaces’ or the actual number of ‘Spaces Remaining’) for specific car parks.
